From cocktail making to learning how to cook up a storm in the kitchen, we’ve rounded up a few of London’s best masterclasses that will enable you to dazzle your friends and family with your new-found skills:
Wine and chocolate are a match made in culinary heaven, as you’ll discover in this pleasurable masterclass at South Bank wine-tasting venue Vinopolis. Devised by Lindt’s Master Chocolatier and Vinopolis’ resident wine expert, chocolates are paired with top wines to enhance the flavours of the wine and chocolate. Roasted sesame chocolate is twinned with Canard-Duchene Champagne to bring out the nutty flavours and caramel taste, while a Touch of Sea Salt is matched with a classic Malbec to enhance the fruitiness of the wine. During these 90 minutes of indulgence, you will pair seven wines and seven decadent Lindt Excellence chocolates.

It’s gin o’clock! If you’ve got a taste for mother’s ruin, you’ll love this class which welcomes visitors to distill their very own personalised bottle of glorious gin. With expert guidance from the distillery team, novice distillers will design the recipe for their gin before the science bit: weighing out the ingredients, then adding them to the spirit to start the disillation process. As the concoction bubbles away, you can create your bespoke labels – naming your gin and adding a message, before bottling and sealing your 70cc bottle with red wax. A distillery tour and a cheeky G&T are also included.
When: The Gin Lab classes run every weekday afternoon at 2pm, Monday and Wednesday nights at 6.30pm and Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Each class lasts for two hours.
