The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas hosts one of the best cards of the year this weekend, as UFC 245 takes place in one of the homes of UFC. With three huge title fights and a number of intriguing matchups on the undercard, it could be excellent viewing. We preview the best bets for Saturday’s UFC 245.
Amanda Nunes v Germaine de Randamie
These two have met before, back in 2013, with Nunes winning via TKO. However, the Lionness is a transformed fighter in recent years and is a very worthy champion, so this could be a very difficult fight for de Randamie. Nunes is as short as 33/100, with the Iron Lady an outside bet at 12/5.
Nunes is renowned for her ferocity, so look for her to win by a finish at 4/6 with Grosvenorsport.com.
Max Holloway v Alexander Volkanovski
Max Holloway has been the definition of a hard-working, humble champion, and the Hawaiian fighter faces a tough defence of his belt against the Australian number one challenger. Volkanovski has made a name for himself by beating the big names in his division, and so far, has just one defeat in his pro career, way back in 2013.
Holloway is the 3/5 favourite, but Volkanovski could herald in the new era of titleholders, and the underdog could be worth backing at 11/8.
Kamara Usman v Colby Covington
The main event will be on most fight fans radars as a potential fight of the year contender, and both fighters have a real attitude about them that leads to great shows. Usman has proven to be a deadly addition to the Welterweight division, while Covington is as good at trash talk as he is at getting finishes, winding up crowds, opponents and pundits alike, but consistently delivering results.
Usman is 8/15 to win, while Covington is 6/4. However, the Nigerian Nightmare has won his last four fights by decision, while Covington’s decision streak stretches to five. A decision looks a certainty, and while short at 2/5, it seems inevitable.
