UCOP – The Roundup

UCOP – The Roundup

The dust has settled, the blood has dried and the reg-wars that took place during the biggest tournament series ever held on Grosvenorpoker.com are over. I’ll be giving a brief summary of the pitfalls that befell our contenders, alongside the famous victories that were part of some seriously impressive performances.

When Microgaming approached us at Grosvenor HQ about a €1,000,000 GTD Tournament Series, we were all ears. We love tournament series, adore leaderboards and the opportunity to promote an excellent schedule of events to our loyal players was something we wanted to support. Whilst we continue to push our own GCOOP (Grosvenor Championship of Online Poker) festivals, we simply are not big enough yet to put up such chunky guarantees on our own.

The schedule was debated, the way points earned tweaked and UCOP began.

The Big Winners

The series was aimed to give a nice balance, giving players of all bankroll levels the opportunity to secure some decent scores, but in a way that was unique to the MPN. We are under no illusions, there are much bigger online tournament series out there, but being smaller can offer its advantages. We setup the series so the tournaments didn’t go on forever (by keeping the structures reasonably quick, but allowing for play at the business end) and the small fields added to the community feel we are trying to develop.

Grosvenorpoker.com players got stuck into this series. Whether it’s because our player base thinks they have an edge or they actually do (tough to reliably tell), one thing was clear- they were keen on getting involved. Solid value in the form of the “Greatest Player in the Universe” leaderboard, alongside an additional MPNPT Battle of Malta package to the highest-finishing Grosvenor player meant some players really went for it.

The best performing Grosvenorpoker.com players were Wackoo90 (35th), Nut_allergy (27th), Crowden (25th), WuFy (13th) and our champion and winner of the £1335 MPNPT Package, Mark Dyson aka “TrapSnapFapz” who finished a valiant 9th overall, with no less than 8 final table finishes including a victory and two runner-up places. A big shout out also to “Crowden” who won an impressive 4 UCOP events (he didn’t finish higher due to the points scoring system- we will be tweaking that in the next iteration).

What next?

Whilst UCOP was a huge success, we know how much our players like Grosvenor-only tournament series. GCOOP I and II were incredibly well-received, with huge added value in the form of a GUKPT Passport to the winner. Andy Hills won the first passport (subsequently becoming a Grosvenorpoker.com sponsored pro) and David Gee won the second (who recently had a huge score at GUKPT Leeds, finishing second to Adam Owen for £28,000. Be sure to keep an eye out for the next GCCOP series (25th Nov- 2nd December) – excellent value and a good opportunity to follow in their footsteps.

In terms of current value, look no further than the £30k Cash Bonanza. I cannot stress just how much additional cash and free tournament entries are well and truly up for grabs. For anyone that plays cash online and wants to see a fun and beatable promotion, check it out. You only have until September 30th to climb either or both leaderboards. Everyone that players 1,000 raked hands or more during the promo period will be invited to a huge freeroll on the 7th October, with over £5,000 in prizes up for grabs. To give you a clue, at the time of writing, someone on £1,500 profit on the high leaderboard is in line for a £4,000 Cash bonus and a £1335 MPNPT Battle of Malta package, whereas the player leading the low on £1,000 profit is in line for a £2,000 Cash Bonus and a £1335 Battle of Malta MPNPT Package.

  1. Manuel Franco

I just want to say Thank You to everyone who supported me through the years. My name is Manuel Franco, New Berlin, Wisconsin. My story of how I won the Powerball lottery of $768.4M is a bit of a tale. I have been playing Powerball tickets for 6 years now since I turned 18. I bought my first ticket on my 18 birthday. I was feeling very lucky that day because I had contacted Dr. Odunga Michael to help me with the winning Powerball numbers. I really had that great great feeling that I looked at the camera wanting to wink at it. I only did a tiny part of it and trusted him. He gave me the numbers after I played a couple other tickets along with it for $10. I checked my ticket after the winnings came online and saw the numbers were correct including the Power play. I screamed for about 10 minutes because it felt like a dream. I had won $768.4M. You can check my winning testimony with the lottery officials just with my name search. Thank you Dr Odunga. Well, his email is odungaspelltemple@gmail.com and you can also call or Whats-app him at +2348167159012 so you guys can contact him
