Tennis | Wimbledon 2018 Women’s Final | Preview and Odds

Wimbledon reaches its climax this weekend, and it has been one of the most topsy-turvy tournaments in memory.

Our Grosvenor tennis expert takes you through the best Wimbledon odds for the Women’s Final.

Sterling Serena can claim glory at SW19

Serena Williams has been fantastic this Wimbledon, cruising to the final dropping only a single set. Nobody has really troubled Serena this tournament and a favourable journey means she should go into the final rested and confident.

Serena was backed as a favourite for the Venus Rosewater Dish pre-tournament in the Grosvenor Blog, and her odds reflect how well she has played this tournament.

An eighth Wimbledon title, and 24th Grand Slam in total beckons – made all the more remarkable having given birth just 10 months ago.

A Williams win can be found at 4/9.

Cool Kerber has kept her head

Angelique Kerber was the highest remaining seed left in the women’s draw at the quarter final stage, but while others have crashed and burned, she has coped with the expectation.

Playing some excellent tennis en route to a final, she has a real chance to win her first Grand Slam since 2016. It will be extremely difficult to beat Serena Williams, but this has been an unpredictable tournament and Kerber could build on an excellent 2018 and win here.

She can be backed at 7/4 with Grosvenorsport.com.

Experience of Williams to triumph

Despite Kerber being fully deserving of her place in this final, it seems the stars have aligned for Serena Williams.

After a long time absent from the game, she has asserted herself on the global stage again in dominant fashion, and it is very easy to imagine that Williams will be victorious come Saturday afternoon.

I suggest backing a comfortable Williams victory, with Serena to win in straight sets available at 6/5.
