Sunday’s Old Firm clash between Celtic and Rangers is pick of the Scottish Cup semi-finals and is sure to be fiercely contested.
Celtic had the Premiership wrapped up some time ago and currently sit 24 points clear of Aberdeen, with Rangers a further nine points back in third.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have taken their foot off the gas in the league of late, drawing at home to Partick Thistle and away to Ross County this month, but we can expect to see a more ruthless team this weekend.
Celtic v Rangers | 23 April 12:00
Rangers, thrashed 5-1 by Celtic in the league earlier in the season, will take heart from last month’s 1-1 draw with their old rivals and also held them 2-2 at the semi-final stage of this competition last year before prevailing 5-4 on penalties.
Recent wins over second-placed Aberdeen (0-3) and Partick (2-0) will have boosted confidence and another close encounter could be on the cards, with 1-1 the suggested 90-minute outcome.

Hibernian v Aberdeen | 22 April 12:15
The other semi-final sees holders Hibernian take on Aberdeen on Saturday (12.15). Hibs, who came from behind to beat Rangers 3-2 with an injury-time winner in last year’s final, sealed the Scottish Championship title last week and will still be on a high.
Aberdeen sit second in the league, and though a long way behind Celtic, have enjoyed another successful campaign.
The Dons have won six of their last seven games, including a 7-0 rout of Dundee at the end of March. They bounced back from the 3-0 home defeat by Rangers with a narrow victory at St Johnstone last week and their solid defence can help them to a 2-0 victory.
