Premier League Review – GameWeek 6

So you read last week’s blog, right? We’ll take that as a yes. And if you followed our expert advice, you’ll have a £10 free bet sitting in your Grosvenor Casinos account.

We previewed all 10 Premier League fixtures and listed our Million Pound Picks, correctly choosing four first goalscorers (and two more any time, if you’re counting).

However, we weren’t the only ones on hot form. A whopping 45% of players got 3 or more correct in Gameweek 5 – meaning almost half our players bagged a free bet. But let’s give it up for the absolute baller who took home the £2,000 weekly prize with a super 7 out of 10. Kudos to you.

If you’re new to Million Pound Picks, here’s a bit more on how you could net a free bet, score £2k or even become a millionaire this weekend…

THE NEED-TO-KNOW INFO

First thing’s first, make sure you’re signed up to Grosvenor Casinos. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s the place to be. Then click the Grosvenor Sport icon and head to Million Pound Picks. Or take this shortcut.

That’s the basics covered. Now to make your picks on our free-to-play game. That’s right – totally free. And you could win ONE MILLION POUNDS simply by naming 10 first goalscorers.

OK… we know it’s not easy, but we’ve got runner-up prizes too. Every single week, we’ll dish out £2,000 to the player who correctly names the most. Plus there’s a £10 free bet for everyone who gets three or more. Result.

This week, we’ve got 9 Premier League games and 1 from the Championship, featuring two sides recently relegated from the top flight – Watford and Bournemouth. Make your way through the fixtures and pick the player you think will get on the scoresheet first. Simples.

Can’t decide? We’ve ranked the top 3 most-picked players to help you out – and there’s a ‘No goalscorer’ option if you fancy a bore draw. When you’re done, don’t forget the tiebreaker – that could be key when it comes to winning the weekly £2,000… or even that £1m top prize.

WEEKEND PREVIEW

Now we don’t like to gloat. But we will. Timo Werner, Raheem Sterling, Son Heung-Min and Raul Jimenez all bagged first last week like we predicted. Mo Salah and Bruno Fernandes also chipped in with goals. They don’t count, but it shows we know what we’re talking about. A little bit.

So who stands out this week? Those guys could easily strike again with Sterling facing West Ham, Son taking on Burnley, Jimenez lining up against Newcastle and Salah welcoming Sheffield United to Anfield. There should be goals at Old Trafford too where Fernandes and Werner go head-to-head.

In the best of the rest, previous Premier League Golden Boot winners Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jamie Vardy face off when Arsenal meet Leicester – we’re taking the Gunner to do the biz after ending his goal drought in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Danny Ings and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both grabbed their first England goals a couple of weeks ago, and who can look past those two hotshots as Southampton and Everton lock horns at St Mary’s? The in-form pair have 11 goals between them, with the Everton forward sitting on 7 in 5 games.

Elsewhere, there’s a clash in the capital – we’re not buying into Fulham yet, so take Andros Townsend to lash one in – he’s 12/1 to put Crystal Palace ahead at Craven Cottage. And on Monday night, Brighton host West Brom. Danny Welbeck has just signed for the Seagulls, but we like Belgian Leandro Trossard to break the deadlock at 23/4 with Grosvenor Sport.

Our Championship tip is teenage sensation Joao Pedro for Watford – he’s scored first in all three of the Hornets’ most recent wins, and it’s hard to look past a player who is probably a bit too good for that division.
