It’s the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season, and game week 37 serves up a few great fixtures.
Liverpool head to St. James’ Park to take on Newcastle, who have inflicted defeat upon the Reds’ title-challenging rivals Manchester City earlier this season. While Tottenham have all but sewn up third place, the fourth and final Champions League spot will be fought by Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. The Red Devils travel to Huddersfield on Sunday as Arsenal host relegation-battlers Brighton.

Newcastle v Liverpool – Saturday 19:45
Liverpool are unbeaten against Newcastle since December 2015 and have put seven goals past the Magpies in the last three games between the sides. Jurgen Klopp’s men will still be licking their wounds following a 3-0 thrashing at the Nou Camp in midweek, but they don’t have time to feel sorry for themselves as they need a win on Tyneside to keep their title hopes alive.
The Reds are 5/6 to win both halves, but I fancy Mohamed Salah to score and assist which can be backed at 7/1.
Huddersfield v Manchester United – Sunday 14:00
Man United have gone three Premier League games without winning, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure to get a result here to keep their faint Champions League qualification hopes alive.
The Terriers are already relegated after a disappointing season in England’s top-flight, but they can go out with a bang by getting a result against United here – which they managed last season at the John Smith’s Stadium by beating Jose Mourinho’s men 2-1.
I expect Jan Siewert’s side to make life difficult for United here, but still think the away team will run out winners. Given the way both teams have been conceding goals, I’m going for a United win and both teams to score at 2/1, and I also like the look of Juan Mata to score first at 7/1.
Arsenal v Brighton – Sunday 16:30
Fresh from an important Europa League semi-final win over Valencia, Arsenal can give their Champions League hopes a big boost with a result against Brighton on Sunday. After a 3-0 defeat to Leicester at the King Power last weekend, Gunners fans will be expecting a win and a performance to go with it.
Should Cardiff be defeated at Southampton on Saturday, Brighton’s Premier League status will be safe for another season, and they’ll have little to play for at the Emirates. The Seagulls haven’t won a Premier League match since the first weekend in March, and I can’t see them getting three points here either.
The Gunners are under pressure to deliver Champions League football, and are heavy favourites to win at 2/5. Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were both in great form on Thursday night, but I think we’ll see Mesut Ozil open the scoring at 3/1.
