Premier League | Everton v Man City | Preview and Odds

The Premier League action keeps coming and after another intriguing weekend in the top flight, Everton host Manchester City on Wednesday night as the visitors look to keep the pressure up on title rivals Liverpool.

Our football betting expert was spot on over the weekend with his predictions of City to win both halves against Arsenal – can he make it a quickfire double on Pep’s side? Here’s his best bets for the midweek Premier League action.

Pep’s charges back on form

Following the shock 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United last Tuesday, Man City returned to form and winning ways with a 3-1 success over Arsenal at the Etihad on Sunday.

Sergio Aguero once again proved he is one of the top strikers in the world with his 10th Premier League hat-trick to guide them to victory over Unai Emery’s side, and they are unsurprisingly 1/3 favourites to come away from Goodison Park with all three points on Wednesday.

Silva in a sticky patch with Toffees

There is growing unrest at Goodison Park with the inconsistency of Marco Silva’s side. They have won two and lost three of their last five Premier League games, on top of a shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Millwall.

The struggles continued at the weekend as they fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Wolves, compounded by  more bad luck as a black cat invaded the pitch on Saturday.

They have suffered four Premier League defeats at Goodison Park this season, and the odds are stacked against them on Wednesday. They are currently 15/2 with Grosvenorsport.com to pick up what would be a surprise win.

City unlikely to come unstuck on Merseyside

As much as City have shown more recently that they can be beaten, I don’t see this being the case this time round.

The last two games between the two sides have seen Guardiola’s men emerge as 3-1 victors, and it’s 9/1 for the visitors to make it three 3-1 wins on the spin, which looks like an appealing bet.

While Everton continue to struggle, an attack which includes Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison are very rarely kept quiet and if you don’t fancy it to finish 3-1 again, a bet that looks attractive is City to win and both teams to score at 7/4.
