O’Hara’s Hunch: Premier League Preview Gameweek 24

O’Hara’s Hunch: The title race has been blown wide open, and good results are getting more and more important for the teams chasing the top four

Grosvenor Sport ambassador Jamie O’Hara previews a massive Matchweek 24 and three games that could spell disaster or blessings for the Premier League teams battling for glory.

Newcastle v Liverpool, Saturday 17:30 GMT

Score prediction: Newcastle 1 – 2 Liverpool 10/1

Anytime goalscorer: Diogo Jota 14/5

This is a massive game for both teams, top four is on the cards for Newcastle but Liverpool, after a decent Merseyside derby win, will go into this with a bit more confidence. It was the Liverpool of old, and let’s not forget they have some world-class players in their team; Darwin Nunez did look good, Diogo Jota coming back into the side will give them a massive boost, and Virgil Van Dijk will be fit soon.

I think this will be a tough game for Newcastle, they have gone off the boil a little bit, but it is a fortress St James’, so it’s hard to make a call on this one.

It’s a tough one, but I will go 2-1 to Liverpool as I think they showed signs of life against Everton and weren’t a million miles off their best. It will be a big result for the Reds, a big shock and top four for Jurgen Klopp and his men will be back on! Jota to bag a goal and to show his quality and what Liverpool have been missing.

Manchester United v Leicester, Sunday 14:00 GMT

Score prediction: Manchester United 2 – 0 Leicester 8/1

Anytime goalscorer: Marcus Rashford 27/20

This is another big game for Manchester United, they are coming thick and fast for them at the moment, and Leicester are in great form at the minute. The Foxes have scored eight goals in two games, they demolished Tottenham and Aston Villa, and we know how good they can be. They are finally starting to show signs of playing like the Leicester we were getting used to.

This is a tough one for them, though. Old Trafford has become a hard place to go again, United have been grinding out results, and the fans are behind them. And with Marcus Rashford in the form of his life, United have that edge that makes them a real threat even when they aren’t at their best.

I will go for a Manchester United win, 2-0, and Rashford to keep scoring, raising the roof once again and continuing to breathe life back into this United side, almost single-handedly.

Tottenham v West Ham, Sunday 16:30 GMT

Score prediction: Tottenham 3 – 1 West Ham 13/1

Anytime goalscorer: Harry Kane 5/4

Tottenham need a huge result here; the Premier League is drifting away from them at the moment, and their performances have not been great. They have got to beat West Ham, I watched them play against Chelsea, and they are bang average this season.

Spurs have to go out there and turn them over at the London Stadium if they want to kick on with their season and get something good from it. They can’t let these London teams keep turning up and thinking they can keep getting results there. It’s a big one for them and one that could spell drastic change at the club if it goes against them.

I am going to go 3-1 to Tottenham, with Harry Kane to score once again and continue showing just why he should move on in the summer. I think they’ll demolish West Ham this time, though, I really do. They need it and playing at their best, they should manage it.
