The Premier League roars back into action this weekend, and guess who’s got the inside scoop?
Grosvenor Sport ambassador Jamie O’Hara is here to break down three must-watch fixtures, including the massive showdown between Manchester City and Arsenal on Sunday.
West Ham v Chelsea – Saturday 12:30
Chelsea fans, brace yourselves—your team is like a fancy sports car that just won’t start! They’ve got the players, but they just haven’t found that sweet spot yet. That second half against Wolves is the closest we’ve seen to Chelsea actually clicking this season, but when you’ve got Jadon Sancho and a star-studded bench, you’re always in with a chance.
West Ham’s story isn’t much different. Big money signings, new faces in the squad and a new manager – it’s a work in progress. Both teams are still trying to figure things out, so don’t be surprised if this game turns into a goal-fest.
Chelsea don’t have the best record at the London Stadium, so I can see West Ham getting a result.
Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Chelsea (9/1)
Crystal Palace v Manchester United – Saturday 17:30
Crystal Palace have been struggling this season. Losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich has left them scrambling—those are some big boots to fill! Eberechi Eze shows glimpses of brilliance but needs to bring it consistently, he tends to drift in and out of games too much for me. And with Marc Guehi wanting out and Joachim Andersen back at Fulham, the defence looks shaky at best.
Meanwhile, Man United are slowly putting that nightmare against Liverpool behind them. With recent wins in the league and cup, they’re looking sharper. Marcus Rashford’s confidence is creeping back, and the squad’s gelling. Having said that, they need to keep the momentum going, especially in games like this.
I’m backing United to edge it because, let’s be honest, Palace just haven’t convinced me so far.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester United (15/2)
Manchester City v Arsenal – Sunday 16:30
Now, here’s the big one! Manchester City didn’t look their usual dominant selves against Inter Milan, so Arsenal might just fancy their chances. Rodri in particular looked miles off it – he’s such a key player for City, so how he performs on Sunday is going to be crucial.
Expect Arsenal to sit back and try to absorb the pressure, with City hogging the ball and probing for gaps. The key? Stopping Erling Haaland—and if anyone’s got the tools for the job, it’s William Saliba and Gabriel.
This game is going to be tight, and I don’t see many goals in it. Arsenal’s defence is solid, and City relentless as ever. Don’t be shocked if it’s a bit of a chess match, with both sides struggling to find that magic moment.
A draw wouldn’t surprise me, but I have a sneaky feeling City might just edge it at home.
Prediction: Manchester City 1-0 Arsenal (5/1)
