Million Pound Picks Gameweek 34: Premier League + Championship

Crunch time in the Championship. A little less crunch in the Premier League, but still a tasty menu of fixtures to get stuck into in Gameweek 34 of Million Pound Picks.

MPP, as we like to call it, is your free shot at winning our £1M jackpot. Unfortunately that’s not guaranteed, unlike our £2000 cash giveaway. We give that to our best player every week. Scrumptious.

And if you don’t win that, you can still grab a £10 Free Bet by predicting three correct scorers. For all the info on prizes and how to play, check out our beginner’s guide.

But if you don’t need that, check out our preview…

Derby v Sheffield Wed

Two former Premier League clubs on the verge of relegation to the third tier. This will be a cagey affair for the majority, but Wednesday HAVE to win and they’re more than capable. Step forward, Jordan Rhodes.

Leeds v Tottenham

Marcelo Bielsa v Ryan Mason. A managerial mismatch if ever there was one. But Spurs do boast the stronger squad and hotshot Harry Kane might be able to do the damage at Elland Road.

Sheffield Utd v Crystal Palace

Three defeats in a row for Palace but they do have the players to see off the hosts; we’ll opt for captain, leader, legend Wilfried Zaha to put the Blades to the sword.

Man City v Chelsea

Champions League Final rehearsal. A win for City and they’re champions, while Chelsea still need to hold off the Hammers in fourth. Riyad Mahrez was the hero in midweek and could be again.

Liverpool v Southampton

Southampton recorded a famous win against Liverpool earlier this season but it’s been downhill ever since. This should be a comfortable Saturday night for the hosts – Mo Salah is the man for the job.

Wolves v Brighton

This one doesn’t scream ‘classic’. Mid-table disappointment for Wolves, Brighton almost safe… this could bring out the best in two teams who have struggled for goals – but we’re going No Goalscorer.

Aston Villa v Man Utd

Villa’s season derailed somewhat with Jack Grealish’s injury, but they’ve still put in some impressive displays in recent weeks. Man Utd look good for second and love going behind. So we’ll take Ollie Watkins.

West Ham v Everton

West Ham were blistering against Burnley and we’re plumping for Michail Antonio after his brace last week. With Benrahma, Lingard et al pulling the strings in behind, the Hammers’ focal point will be rubbing his hands with glee.

Arsenal v West Brom

They’re not down yet and you know West Brom will be fighting for their life against the Gunners. The hosts are favourites, but we fancy the Baggies to make a game of it… Mbaye Diagne is our pick.

Fulham v Burnley

Fulham showed sparks of life in mid-season, but things have fallen by the wayside and relegation is ominous. A rejuvenated Burnley – and Chris Wood – could put the final nail in the coffin.
