DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SCREENS. For one week only, our guaranteed giveaway is not £2000… it’s £20,000. Ten times the cash for our top Million Pound Picks player. One word – WOW.
If you don’t know the drill, you have to pick 10 first goalscorers. Nine from the Premier League this weekend, plus a Championship encounter. The more you get right, the more chance you have of scooping some serious cash.
If you get all 10, you’ll get £1M – but it often takes just four or five correct calls to grab our Million Pound Picks weekly giveaway. So you’ve got every chance of picking up that prize. All the finer details of how to play are right here, but we’re gonna give you a few of our fancies if you need a hand.
Leeds Utd v Chelsea
Let’s get off to a flying start. There HAS to be goals in this one, and we’re expecting the majority to come from the visitors. Leeds have come unstuck recently against sides above them and the in-form Chelsea fit that bill. Set-piece vulnerability showed again as Craig Dawson thumped home a header on Monday night and if Kurt Zouma starts, he’s our choice to exploit the hosts’ weakness.
Crystal Palace v West Brom
West Brom were dire in the 0-0 draw against Newcastle, but they really need to pick up three points rather than one, which could see this game open up a little bit. Palace were picked apart by Spurs in midweek but Wilfried Zaha is back fighting fit, and the Eagles’ captain fantastic is the choice.
Everton v Burnley
One win in 10 for Burnley who find themselves in a battle for survival, so a trip to Champions League-chasing Everton is hardly what they need right now. Everton found Chelsea one step too far in midweek, but Richarlison is still in hot form and the Brazilian is our Saturday night selection.
Fulham v Man City
Twenty-one then bust for Manchester City after derby day defeat against Man Utd. Meanwhile Fulham did what comes easy to everyone last weekend, winning at Anfield. Pep’s men should bounce back, and we’ll take Phil Foden. Whatever happens, we hope Scott Parker’s wearing that jacket again.
Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich
Two words. Teemu Pukki. The Finnish hotshot made it 20 for the season with a brace against Luton last time out, making it nine goals in his last seven. The Canaries are flying, the Owls are not. This one should be a gimme.
Southampton v Brighton
The coastal clash with two sides fighting for form. Ralph Hasenhuttl and Graham Potter are two highy-rated managers, but form has gone out the window – although Brighton are the team in trouble. Our xMPP is Southampton’s Che Adams, who fired in a beauty against the Blades last week.
Leicester v Sheffield Utd
Another week, another defeat on the way for Sheffield United. We assume. Two in two for Kelechi Iheanacho and the Foxes forward could forage for more against the down and depleted Blades.
Arsenal v Spurs
North London derby. Arsenal are the ones minding the gap at the minute, and it’s hard to see them closing it – especially if Bale, Kane and Son keep doing what they’re doing. Take your pick from that forward three. We’ll take Harry.
Man Utd v West Ham
What a result for Man Utd last week. Bruno Fernandes got his penalty, Luke Shaw did the rest, and although it’s not going to change the destination of the title, it’s a massive boost in the Red Devils’ top-two bid. And they can keep it up with victory over the Hammers too. Bruno again.
Wolves v Liverpool
The big one. Monday night football and the game that could clinch you this incredible £20,000 prize… or the £1M jackpot. Neither side have set the world alight recently, especially the Premier League champions. The fact they’re not at Anfield will be a relief, but we can’t see the Reds scoring. Call us crazy, but we’re predicting zero goals. No Goalscorer is the selection.
