Million Pound Picks Gameweek 26: Premier League Preview

Million Pounds Pick Gameweek 26 is OPEN. That means another week where you could win £1,000,000. And another week when we give away £2,000 to our best Million Pound Picker. And another week where we’ll give out £10 Free Bets to all participants who bag three correct answers.

And we’re not going to say too much… but make sure you’re here next week too. We might just have something special up our sleeves. But that’s enough of that.

If you want to know all the ins and outs of Million Pound Picks, Grosvenor Sport’s FREE game, then here’s our guide on how to play. But in a nutshell, you need to pick 10 first goalscorers in the Premier League weekend. The more you get, the better the prize. And we’re here to share our selections.

So here we go.

Burnley v Arsenal

Two sides who have just taken points from Champions League-chasing Leicester City. Burnley drew with the Foxes in midweek, while the Gunners grabbed all three last weekend – but we think Arsenal can win a tight one.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is our shout.

Sheffield Utd v Southampton

This Sheffield United side might go down, but they won’t go down in history after a well-deserved and spirited win over Aston Villa in midweek took them past Derby County’s 11-point tally from 2007/08.

Southampton haven’t been much cop lately and there’s a chance for the Blades to make it two from two here. Tough to choose which Blade will join McGoldrick up top, so we’re going to take the Irish international.

Aston Villa v Wolves

Are Aston Villa ready to unleash Jack Grealish? After recent showings, Dean Smith will hope his injured captain can return – and that could be key here. Wolves have a prodigious talent of their own in Pedro Neto but we’re taking the hosts and the quick feet of Bertrand Traore.

Brighton v Leicester

Brighton have been simply spectacular in their last two defeats, battering Palace and missing two penalties against West Brom. They’re in trouble, make no mistake, and this won’t be easy despite Leicester’s mini-slump. Youri Tielemans loves a shot and we’re on board with the Belgian.

West Brom v Newcastle

Newcastle are in crisis and there aren’t many managers who will enjoy getting one over on them more than Big Sam. His tenure at SJP was short-lived but he could heap more pressure on Steve Bruce here.

The Baggies have to win these sorts of games to have a shout of survival, and Matheus Pereira is the gifted Brazilian who can inspire them.

Liverpool v Fulham

Liverpool’s form has not been good with a win over Sheffield United the only thing they’ve been able to cheer about recently. This is another chance to revive their top-four hopes against the relegation-threatened Fulham, who should find this a step too far despite their recent revival. Sadio Mane for us.

Man City v Man Utd

The Manchester Derby was dire in December, and we’ve got a feeling this one might be too. You might have seen Man Utd’s stats against the so-called Big Six this week – and they certainly know how to keep them at bay. Plus it’s three 0-0s in a row for the Red Devils.

Pep Guardiola and his Man City side are looking for consecutive win number 22, but we’ve got a feeling they might be stifled. Our selection is No Goalscorer.

Spurs v Crystal Palace

Gareth Bale raced out of the blocks last Sunday as Spurs put Burnley to the sword, and we’re jumping on the Bale bandwagon. When he’s on top of his game, he’s unstoppable. Crystal Palace kept out a lacklustre Man Utd, but this is a different proposition. And you can tell Roy Keane we said that.

Chelsea v Everton

You won’t be singing the Blues with this game – it promises to be an entertaining encounter between two in-form sides with European aspirations. This could go either way, but we’re expecting goals and

Chelsea’s fab Frenchman is a solid shout to get the ball rolling – if he starts.
Remember, you can change your selections up to FIVE minutes before each individual kick-off.

West Ham v Leeds

Another game that could be one for the neutrals, although West Ham are pretty decent at both ends these days. Leeds will pose a threat as they so often do, but we’re going for Michail Antonio as the Hammers continue their unlikely push for the Champions League.

Our Million Pound Picks are done. Now for yours. Get them in by 12:25pm, five minutes before the first kick-off at Turf Moor. Good luck!
