It’s Safer Gambling Week. Join us for the conversation between 19th – 25th November

Let’s talk about Safer Gambling. Making sure things are always enjoyable and affordable for you is one of our main priorities at Grosvenor Casinos, so during Safer Gambling Week, we’re bringing more attention to the ways we can make sure you’re always keeping it fun.

What is Safer Gambling Week?

Safer Gambling Week is an initiative designed to promote safer gambling across the United Kingdom and Ireland. It aims to open up conversations and drive awareness of how you can gamble safely, the tools we have in place to help you set yourself limits and where you can find any advice and support you might need. Every part of the gambling industry is taking part, from amusement arcades, bookmakers, casinos and bingo to help keep you safe and connected as you play both online and in casino.

How is Grosvenor committed to Safer Gambling?

Hopefully you already know how committed we are to keeping you safe online and in our casinos. But just in case, we’ve put together the many ways that we make sure playing with us is always enjoyable.

Playing Online

If you regularly play online, then you might already know about the range of tools we have in place for you to set limits on your gameplay.

The easiest way to make sure you’re only spending what you can comfortably afford is to set a Deposit Limit. You can set daily, weekly or monthly limits to manage your spending and make sure you never go over the amount that’s right for you.

We also have Reality Checks, a handy tool that automatically lets you know when you’ve been playing for an hour to help you keep an eye on the time. If you choose to, you can set up the reminder to appear after 30 minutes.

Finally, if you think we could benefit from a little bit of time apart, then you can choose to Take a Break from us. You choose the time period, from 24 hours to 6 weeks, and then we’ll pause your account for you. It’s only temporary and everything will be exactly as you left it when you come back.

To set up any of these tools, you can go to your account preferences, click the ‘Responsible Gaming’ tab and make any changes you need.

Playing in Casinos

We hope that playing with us is a way to have fun and relax, however for some it may become quite easy to spend more money or time than you might be comfortable with. So, we wanted to let you know about the measures we have in place to prevent this from happening.

We provide extensive training to our teams in assisting and giving information to customers who may need it and by allowing you to set limits on how much you can withdraw at the cash desk.

There’s always plenty of information points around the casinos to help anyone identify and prevent problem gambling at an early stage as well as details about useful charities and support agencies who can offer specific counselling, help or treatment. There’s also the option to Self-Exclude from all casinos around the UK if you think your habits are becoming concerning – just speak to any Grosvenor Casinos Manager who will be happy to help.

To find out more about how to gamble safely or identify if you have a problem, you can speak to a member of staff at any Grosvenor Casinos location.

How can I learn more?

If you want to know more about our approach to safer gambling, then head over to Keep it Fun, our dedicated website which is full of resources and info to help you. You can also head to safergamblinguk.org for more information about the initiative and campaign, and if you need any help or support then you can call a trained advisor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0808 8020 133.
