International Champions Cup Continues | Preview and Odds

Another round of games in the International Champions Cup awaits and with the start of the new season fast approaching, results could be a key indicator of the season to follow. Grosvenor’s football expert brings you the best football bets for this round of games.

Manchester United v Real Madrid

Manchester United take on the European champions in their final game of the International Champions Cup. A 4-1 loss against Liverpool in their last match see’s Jose Mourinho’s side going into this contest with added pressure and perhaps low expectations and as a result are 3/1 with Grosvenor Sport to win.

Real are certainly the favourites for this their first game of the cup and with the likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Marcello all set to feature, they are a very reasonable 4/6 to come off the better of the two sides.

Welsh maestro Gareth Bale will come into this season fresh and raring to go having not been involved in World Cup duties. The £87 million man should benefit from the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of starts and will look to capitalise, Bale to score at least a brace looks a great shout at 7/1.

Tottenham Hotspur v AC Milan

Meanwhile Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs take on AC Milan in Minnesota. The North London side have looked strong in recent fixtures having drawn 2-2 with Barcelona in 90 minutes and beating Roma 4-1, they can be backed at 6/5 to win this fixture.

Milan have only come up against a struggling Manchester United a fixture in which they could only manage a 1-1 draw before losing on penalties. However, the Italian side will be looking to capitalise on Spurs’ numerous absentees still recovering from the World Cup not to mention the injuries sustained by Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama. With a weak Tottenham midfield set to line up, Milan to win at 2/1 looks great value.

I also like the look of Milan forward Suso, who looked sharp in their last game and grabbed his side’s only goal, I would back him to score at 11/4.

Arsenal v Chelsea

Dublin plays host to this London Derby with both sides under new managers hopeful of finding a good run of form with the Premier League season just over a week away. Arsenal have looked very strong so far under Unai Emery, beating PSG 5-1 in their last game and with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil finding the target then, I fancy them tonight at 5/4.

Chelsea looked less convincing in their last game, only managing a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan. Here they will be without the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and Willian all of who are rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge with big price tags. However, you definitely cannot discount the Blues and with Pedro and an in-form Alvaro Morata set to feature they look good value at 13/8.

Both sides will likely be fielding very strong sides going forward, I think over 3.5 goals looks good value at 13/8.
