The 2021 Grand National is almost upon us. Forty runners and riders taking to the famous fences at Aintree, hoping to stay upright, outstay their competition and take their place on the list of Grand National winners.
Harry Skelton is one of those riders and will be on board Blaklion after squeezing in before the final 40 Grand National declarations. It would cap not only a fine season, but also a lifelong dream for Grosvenor Sport’s racing ambassador, who remains in the fight for the Champion Jump Jockey title.
We caught up with Harry in the build-up to the big race to discuss his memories of the Grand National growing up, his 2021 hopes and this year’s strong favourite, Cloth Cap… along with his other Aintree rides.
