We were all champing at the bit for Cheltenham Trials Day this weekend including Grosvenor Sport racing ambassador Harry Skelton. Sadly, it just wasn’t to be. Prestbury Park has fallen foul of the weather, but for every dark cloud, there’s a silver lining. Doncaster goes ahead.
Just the one ride for Harry after the late change of plans, but the Grade 1-winning jockey took some time out to talk to us about Ashtown Lad, a runner over 31⁄2 miles in the 2:40, and a 6/1 shot with Grosvenor Sport if you fancy some horse racing betting.
And we were promised Cheltenham, so here’s a little something special just for you. The Skelton yard’s 2021 Champion Chase hopeful is Nube Negra, who Harry will be riding at the Cheltenham Festival in March. And our top jockey has gone the extra mile to give us a little early insight. Saddle up!
