Grosvenor is helping to get the nation back on its feet!

Have you heard? We’re lending a hand with the nationwide effort to get the country vaccinated by joining up with The Sun and pledging our support for their Jabs Army programme. The programme calls for volunteers to assist in the rollout of millions of vaccines across the nation and has been backed by the NHS and health secretary Matt Hancock.

So, if you want to become a volunteer, you just need to commit to two six-hour shifts a month at a vaccination site near you and you don’t need any experience or qualifications to help. To become a Jabs Army recruit, all you have to do is sign up through the NHS Volunteer Responder Programme and once confirmed, you’ll be working with NHS staff and other dedicated volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer you can sign up here.

Grosvenor Casinos are getting behind this by encouraging team members and customers to sign up to be part of the volunteer programme.

Our venues and team members already play a proactive role in the community, and this has been a key focus for our hard-working teams during lockdown. Activities have included delivering over 25,000 free meals to emergency services & local charities through our home delivery programme.

We also have a ongoing charity partnership programme with Carer’s Trust, within which we have raised over £89,000 and supported 526 local carers with community grants, since the beginning of the pandemic. This has all been achieved with the support of our incredible team members and customers and our thanks go out to them.

The next step on our journey is to help get the country back on it’s feet is to use our car parks in our sites across the UK as vaccine centres. We have offered this as part of The Sun’s Jab Army campaign and we are waiting in anticipation to hear if our offer has been taken up for this fantastic initiative.

As lots of you may already know, we’re keeping in regular contact with our venues’ customers despite being closed, so through these calls we’ll also let people know if there is going to be a local vaccine site nearby. Once confirmed, the Grosvenor sites that will be used as vaccine hubs will also be detailed on your local venues pages so you can easily find out if one will be used near you.

We’re really proud to support this incredible initiative and we hope that it makes a difference in getting back a little bit of normality in the coming months.
