Grosvenor Goals GW37: First Goalscorer Predictions

Gameweek 37 of Grosvenor Goals is open! Simply select the first goalscorer correctly in our 10 selected games, and you’ll win £1M! Last week, we gave away a guaranteed cash prize of £5,000 to the player who selected the most first goalscorers. The thirteen punters who collected that guaranteed prize selected six out of 10 correct, not bad going.

This week, there’s a guaranteed cash prize on offer again to whoever picks the most correct goalscorers, with that person winning £5,000, and of course, if you select any three correctly, you win a £10 free bet. Fancy your chances? Entries close at 16:55PM TUESDAY JULY 14TH

Below are this week’s 10 selected fixtures for Grosvenor Goals, and we at Grosvenor Sport have made our predictions for the first goalscorer in each of the 10 selected fixtures.

Game 1: West Brom vs. Fulham

Tuesday, July 13th, 17:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Aleksandar Mitrovic

Joint Championship top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic will lead the line for fourth-placed Fulham as they take on second-placed West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday. The Serbian forward returned from a three-game suspension in fine fashion to open the scoring against Cardiff at the weekend, taking his tally for the season to 24.

Fulham – on a four game winning streak – will head into the fixture confident against a Baggies side they dominated earlier in the season (albeit in a 1-1 draw) and with the West Midlands based outfit’s home record not quite living up to their formidable away performance.

Game 2: Chelsea vs. Norwich

Tuesday, July 13th, 20:15PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Olivier Giroud

Scoring first in each of his last two starts for Chelsea and boasting five goals in his last seven starts for the club, Olivier Giroud is arguably the safest selection in the Blues’ upcoming fixture with already relegated, goal shy Norwich City. After a disappointing return with Tammy Abraham leading the line against Sheffield United, the Frenchman is expected to return to the starting line-up next game.

Game 3: Burnley vs. Wolves

Wednesday, July 14th, 18:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Raúl Jiménez

Wolves have been in fine form since the restart, winning four of their six fixtures, keeping a clean sheet in each victory. Raúl Jiménez opened the scoring in their 3-0 win over Everton at the weekend to take his tally for the season to 25 in all competitions – a likely candidate for opening scorer in this fixture.

Game 4: Manchester City vs. Bournemouth

Wednesday, July 14th, 18:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Raheem Sterling

Premier League top scorers Manchester City continue to run riot since the restart and their top scorer Raheem Sterling – who boasts 17 league goals and 27 in all competitions this season – has played a pivotal role. With six goals and an assist in his last five games, the 25-year-old looks set to continue his fine form against relegation bound Bournemouth.

Game 5: Newcastle United vs. Spurs

Wednesday, July 14th, 18:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Harry Kane

A win is very much needed for Tottenham Hotspur going into this fixture against a Newcastle side whose season is pretty much over, with relegation and European football both out of sight. Allan Saint-Maximin has looked particularly sharp since the restart, but Spurs should have no difficulty keeping the rest of their goal shy attacking trio quiet. Harry Kane, on the other hand, will be looking to build upon his two goals since the restart, putting a quiet North London Derby behind him.

Game 6: Arsenal vs. Liverpool

Wednesday, July 14th, 20:15PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Mohamed Salah

A potentially significant match-up for the Premier League Golden Boot race with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (20) and Mohamed Salah (19) facing off. Having dispatched of Arsenal convincingly earlier in the season with Salah netting twice in the reverse fixture, the Egyptian netting first appears the most likely scenario in this fixture.

Game 7: Everton vs. Aston Villa

Thursday, July 15th, 18:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Richarlison

Two goals in four games make Richarlison an easy selection for Everton’s match-up with relegation bound Aston Villa. The Toffees have struggled on the road of late but are unbeaten at home since the restart and take on a Villa side with just one win in eleven league games.

Game 8: Leicester City vs. Sheffield United

Thursday, July 15th, 18:00PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Jamie Vardy

Premier League golden boot favourite Jamie Vardy – with three goals in the last two, five since the restart – will likely be one of the most selected players this gameweek as Champions League chasing Leicester take on a Sheffield United side without a win since the restart.

Game 9: Southampton vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Thursday, July 15th, 20:15PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Danny Ings

Danny Ings has opened the scoring for the Saints in three of their last five fixtures and the Golden Boot contender will be keen to pile the pressure on his fellow compatriot Jamie Vardy who leads the race as it stands. Southampton, with ten points from the last 15 available to them, should comfortably dispatch of Brighton, with only one win in five.

Game 10: Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United

Thursday, July 15th, 20:15PM

First Goalscorer Pick: Mason Greenwood

A rampant Manchester United will likely be too much for Crystal Palace to handle in this match-up and Mason Greenwood in fine form should continue his scoring run of four goals in his last three appearances.
