Katie Swift is the longest standing member of Team Grosvenor and a prominent voice among the women’s poker community. A proud runner up of Goliath, Katie’s poker CV is both extensive and impressive with close to £350,000 in lifetime earnings.
Aside from finishing second in Goliath 2015 – The biggest live tournament outside of Vegas – where she won £40,000 from just a £130 buy-in, Katie has amassed a selection of stand-out career highlights. Her biggest live tournament cash came in Party Poker’s MILLIONS in Nottingham for a staggering £100,000, whilst on the virtual felt she finished 2nd place in the Sunday Million for $147,000.
When asked by PokerNews about her Goliath win, Katie referred to it as “Kick-starting her career in poker”. In the same interview she went on to describe her partnership with Grosvenor and the vision to grow the women’s poker community. Katie’s number one tip for beginners…
“Just relax and enjoy the game when you’re learning it. When you’re playing, try to make sure you understand the reason why you’re playing that hand. Just enjoy it and focus on the ‘Why’.”
