Ahead of this weekend’s action at Aintree, we caught up with Grosvenor Sport ambassador Harry Skelton, who reflects on Shan Blue’s unfortunate fall in the Charlie Hall Chase and riding his 1000th winner.
Following Shan Blue’s fall when leading in the Charlie Hall last weekend, he’s set for a complete rest until the spring.
Harry told us that he was in great shape going into the race and that everything was going to plan – until the third-last.
Team Skelton are expecting a quick and full recovery and Harry thinks it might even be ‘a blessing in disguise’ as the horse may be fresher than his rivals come the spring – watch the video here:
