Fantastic Four
Another chance for Marcelo Bielsa’s impressive Leeds to flex their muscles against some Premier League heavyweights. Mourinho’s men have stuttered of late, but Spurs should have too much to offer here… We’re picking Harry Kane to break the deadlock.
Wilfried Zaha is red-hot right now with eight goals in 14 matches including a stunner against Leicester last time out. The hapless and winless Sheffield United are next in the firing line. The winger is 4/1 with Grosvenor Sport to score first against the Blades.
For all Brighton’s good play, they haven’t been rewarded with the points – and Wolves have hardly been banging in the goals. If your expecting New Year’s fireworks here, forget about it – we’re taking this as our No Goalscorer option.
And Arsenal’s relegation worries have been eased with back-to-back wins inspired by French forward Alexandre Lacazette. It’s as easy as un-deux-trois to stick with him against a West Brom side that just lost 5-0 at home to Leeds. Lacazette anytime plus a Gunners win is available at 17/10.
Sunday League
Burnley have picked up points recently thanks to the aerial prowess of Ashley Barnes, Ben Mee and erm… Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Chris Wood was denied by a wonder-save last time out, but he will fancy himself when Fulham come to town.
Harvey Barnes is on a hot streak right now and with Newcastle feeling generous all year round when it comes to allowing shots, the attacking midfielder will have plenty of chances to add to his recent strikes against Man Utd and Crystal Palace – he’s 6/1 to do just that.
And then it’s a case of the Sunday blues with Chelsea and Man City facing off. Chelsea’s form has dipped since topping the table and their record against sides in the top half isn’t cause for optimism. We’ll take the reliable Raheem Sterling.
Last but not least
Monday 4th January. Back to work, right? Yuk. Well, this could be the game that makes you a millionaire.
Despite being held by WBA, Liverpool still look too good for everyone. And that means we’re picking a Red, and we’re going for one of the Southampton old boys. Sadio Mane.
