Another week, another chance to win a million pounds with Grosvenor Sport.
It seems like it’s been raining goals in the Premier League this season, but that wasn’t the case in Gameweek 9. The ball hit the net a grand total of 20 times, but it only took six of those to give one of our Million Pound Picks players a tasty £2,000 cash prize.
That’s right – you don’t need to get all 10 first goalscorers to come away with cash here. There’s £2k up for grabs every single week for our best performing player. But you do need all 10 to grab the ultimate £1M Prize.
And if you get three right, that’ll earn you a £10 free bet. Last week, over one third of players got their hands on one. Not bad considering it’s FREE TO PLAY.
So if you’re not signed up, sign up. It’s free, easy and comes with a winner of a welcome bonus. If you’re already in the Grosvenor Sport squad, get set to make your picks.
But first, read on for our ‘expert’ advice. This time next week Rodney, you could be a millionaire.
Champ at the bit
Friday night games are not welcome here, so we’re wiping Crystal Palace v Newcastle from the slate and opting for some lunchtime action from the Championship.
Reading have stuttered with four defeats on the trot, but they still know where the goal is and raced into a 2-0 lead over Bournemouth last week. So we’re rolling with Lucas Joao, although if you fancy the in-form Bristol City, don’t look past Jamie Paterson who’s having a fine season for the Robins.
Brighton grabbed goals and three points at Villa Park last weekend, but Liverpool look unstoppable even without… players. It’s any one of four forwards here – even Robert Firmino can score now – but we’ll take Mane.
Man City v Burnley. Probably only one winner here, but several goalscoring options. It seems the sort of game that Phil Foden could unlock, and after his midweek goal, you can get on board with the England midfielder at 21/4 with Grosvenor Sport – and then it’s destination Goodison Park.
Richarlison was at his creative best against Fulham but look for the Brazilian to turn assists into goals. There’s been a bit of joy down Leeds’ right-hand side in recent weeks – and his quality could show here. 5/1 to score first? Yes please…
And who needs Saturday nights out on the town when you’ve got WBA v Sheffield United on the box… You never know, a thriller might be unleashed between these relegation rivals. Oli McBurnie came within whiskers v West Ham and he could go one better at the Hawthorns this weekend.
Sunday best
Man Utd squirmed by West Brom thanks to a… yep, you guessed it… penalty. And a lack of penalty. But will they get the rub of the green against the in-form Southampton? We think the hosts can spring a (relative) surprise and we’re plumping for Che Adams to do the damage in Sunday’s early fixture.
But don’t rule out Bruno Fernandes. Never rule out Bruno Fernandes. Here at Grosvenor Sport, we’ve got Premier League match specials, and we go 3/1 on Man Utd to score a penalty. It keeps happening.
The game of the day pits Lampard against Mourinho, West London against North London, Chelsea against Tottenham. Both find themselves with title aspirations, but can Frank get the better of his former boss? We’ve looked at the latest Mourinho masterclass here – and we’re siding with Spurs. We’ll go for Son. It’ll probably be Kane.
We stay in the capital for Arsenal v Wolves, and after the Gunners showed very little at Leeds last week, we’re taking up the No Goalscorer option available with Million Pound Picks. A solid Wolves side will have no problem with a stalemate at the Emirates.
The final countdown
Two more games that could help you earn the big bucks and the first one is a gimme, surely. Leicester v Fulham – we’re not going to recommend anyone other than Jamie Vardy.
And then it’s West Ham v Aston Villa. The visitors are the only side in England not to concede a goal on the road so far this season – will this be the day? Maybe. But we’re gonna round things off by picking the Villa skipper, Jack Grealish, who you can grab at a nice 9/1 to score first.
