Make the most of this Premier League weekend – it’s the last ahead of another international break – and we certainly go out with a bang.
Chelsea look to continue their good start against Crystal Palace, while Leicester’s top-four credentials are put to the test against Arsenal.
However, the biggest of them all comes on Sunday with the clash of the top two at Anfield.
Our football betting expert previews all this weekend’s fixtures and gives you the best bets to look out for.
Norwich v Watford
The Premier Leagues bottom two meet in a big clash at Carrow Road. Winless Watford have been awful all season, while Norwich’s fast start has masked some awful defensive work.
However, the home crowd should be up for this, and in Teemu Pukki Norwich have a player who can be relied on to tuck away chances. The Canaries are 13/8 favourites and should get three points here.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea have been exciting to watch this season, and are currently the form team in the league with five wins from their last five. Crystal Palace have been solid this season, and their recent draw with Arsenal shows they aren’t to be taken lightly.
However, Chelsea’s midweek dramatic comeback against Ajax may have taken a lot out of them, both physically and emotionally, so Palace could be confident of an away point here. The draw can be backed at 9/2.
Burnley v West Ham
Both sides have been erratic at points, but have the talent to be a real handful on their day. West Ham have struggled since Lukasz Fabianski was injured, while Burnley remain competitive under Sean Dyche.
This doesn’t look to be a classic, but both teams are only four points off the European places. Under 2.5 goals is Evens, which looks good value where a scrappy goal could steal all three points.
Tottenham v Sheffield United
Sheffield United have been excellent this season, conceding just eight goals, the joint-lowest in the league, while Chris Wilder continues to prove he is an excellent manager.
Spurs are actually below the Blades in the table, and Mauricio Pochettino’ side need to start performing quickly, as they are already 10 points off the Champions League places. While Spurs are comfortable favourites, this could be an upset, and Sheffield United +1 on the handicap is 7/5, which looks a solid bet.
Southampton v Everton
Both sides have been very poor this season, and naturally, both sides have managers under pressure. Marco Silva’s side haven’t come close to justifying their potential on paper, while Saints have the league’s worst defence. Expect this game to have all the hallmarks of a cagey relegation battle, but the Toffee’s look more likely to nick all three points, and are 11/8.
Newcastle United v Bournemouth
Both sides are performing above expectations, and Bournemouth are lying in 7th place. While only four points separate the sides, the Cherries have managed to solidify their defence, while they remain capable of scoring plenty with a dangerous attack.
Steve Bruce’s side have chopped and changed a lot, but continue to be difficult to beat, with only one loss in their last four. The Magpies are 15/8, but the draw could be the option here at 9/4.
Leicester City v Arsenal
One team is performing incredibly well, with a unity behind the club, while the other is in disarray. It is Leicester who are favourites at the King Power Stadium, and they look like the most dangerous side in the league at the moment outside of the top two.
Arsenal have lurched from one disaster to another this season, and the incidents are starting to take their toll. Granit Xhaka has been stripped of the captaincy, and they could be on the end of another defeat here. A Leicester win is Evens.
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Manchester United have been poor this season, and have been incredibly inconsistent. A good result midweek could be a catalyst, but Brighton have been impressive under Graham Potter, and Old Trafford doesn’t have the fear factor it used to. United are just 3/5, which is too short, but it could be a goal-fest, and over 2.5 goals is Evens.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Aston Villa
A Midlands derby and both sides have been good to watch this year, without having much to show for it. Wolves set the league alight last season, and after a slow start are beginning to find their feet again, while Villa are capable of beating every team on their day.
Jack Grealish is so integral to Dean Smith’s side, so they will be hoping he is fit. Wolves just look too strong though and are 5/6 to win at Molineux.
Liverpool v Manchester City
A thrilling game to finish the weekend, as the two best teams in England, and arguably Europe, face off at Anfield in what is already being billed as a title decider, despite it only being November. City can’t afford to lose, or they will be nine points behind Liverpool, and these two have had some excellent games in recent years.
Both sides have been poorer defensively than last season, but City miss Aymeric Laporte tremendously. This could be the difference between the sides, and a Liverpool win is 13/8.
