All three English sides are in strong positions heading into gameday four in the Europa League but will be keen to put one foot in the knockout stages.
Arsenal are the only one to maintain a 100 per cent record after the first three games, while Man United are unbeaten, and Wolves have bounced back from an opening-day defeat to pick up two wins on the bounce.
The Gunners travel to Vitoria, while Man Utd host Partizan Belgrade and Wolves welcome Slovan Bratislava in the reverse fixtures from matchday three. Our football betting expert previews all three ties.
Vitoria v Arsenal – Wednesday
Arsenal back playing European football on a Wednesday. Who would have thought it? However, rather than it being a Champions League game it is a Europa League game taking place a day earlier than normal.
The Gunners may be struggling in the Premier League at the moment, with calls for Unai Emery to be replaced, however, their Europa League form is solid.
Three wins from three see them top Group F, and they will fancy their chances of making it four from four against bottom-placed Vitoria.
They did make hard work of the reverse fixture though, with a late Nicolas Pepe double sealing a come-from-behind victory.
With this one being on the road, that could cause Emery’s side further problems. They are 11/10 favourites to win this one, but I expect the Gunners boss to be in further trouble and I fancy the draw at 13/5.
Man Utd v Partizan Belgrade – Thursday
In typical Man Utd fashion of late, the reverse fixture saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side win 1-0 with the help of another penalty.
A 3-1 win over Norwich showed signs of progress, as did their League Cup success at Chelsea. However, they were brought back down to earth with a 1-0 loss at Bournemouth.
United are not the force to be reckoned with anymore, and I can see them making hard work of this one again. A 1-0 home win looks appealing at 4/1.
Wolves v Slovan Bratislava – Thursday
After a slow start to the season, Nuno Espirito Gomes’ charges have got back to their best of late, and now resemble the side which caused so many upsets last season.
After an opening day group defeat they looked set for a bumpy ride, but two wins from two now sees them back in with a chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
I fancy Wolves to come out on top here, but they won’t have it all their own way at Molineux so a bet on both teams to score and Wolves to win at 9/4.
