European Champions Cup Final | Leinster v Racing 92 | Preview and Odds

The San Mames Stadium in Bilbao hosts the final of this year’s European Champions Cup as Leinster take on Racing 92.

Our rugby betting expert is on hand to preview Saturday afternoon’s enthralling encounter.

Leinster more than deserving of favourites tag

Leinster come into this one as the overwhelming favourites at 2/11 with Grosvenorsport.com and it’s not hard to see why.

They have been in outstanding form in this season’s competition, breezing through the group stage, winning all six games and will be a tough nut to crack if they turn up in the similar form which dismantled Scarlets 38-16 in the semi-finals.

They are the only unbeaten team left and fully deserve their status as the team to beat heading into this one.

Racing desperate to write the wrongs of two years ago

They face a Racing 92 side who will be desperate for a different outcome than in the final two years ago where they lost to Saracens.

The Top 14 side have another opportunity this year despite finishing second in their pool. Racing were beaten by Munster and Castres, but four victories booked their place in the knockout stages as one of the best runners-up.

They were always in control against Munster in their semi-final after an electric start, featuring two tries from Teddy Thomas and booked their place in the final with a 27-22 win.

They are the 7/2 outsiders to win the competition for the first time.

Leinster to make it four Champions Cup victories

As the odds suggest, Racing face an uphill struggle to win their first ever European Champions Cup particularly with the loss of their influential Maxime Machenaud to a knee injury.

Leinster have been there and done and with the way they have performed in Europe so far, they are certainly the bet in this one.

They won both halves in both of their knockout fixtures against Saracens and Scarlets and that looks a good bet at 10/11 to happen again against Racing on Saturday.

The other bet I’m keen on is the second half to be the highest scoring at 4/5. The only way Racing can win is to get in front early and that will require them to expend great amounts of energy.

Their huge pack is likely to get tired and I expect Johnny Sexton and co to pick them off with ease after the break.

  1. Manuel Franco

I just want to say Thank You to everyone who supported me through the years. My name is Manuel Franco, New Berlin, Wisconsin. My story of how I won the Powerball lottery of $768.4M is a bit of a tale. I have been playing Powerball tickets for 6 years now since I turned 18. I bought my first ticket on my 18 birthday. I was feeling very lucky that day because I had contacted Dr. Odunga Michael to help me with the winning Powerball numbers. I really had that great great feeling that I looked at the camera wanting to wink at it. I only did a tiny part of it and trusted him. He gave me the numbers after I played a couple other tickets along with it for $10. I checked my ticket after the winnings came online and saw the numbers were correct including the Power play. I screamed for about 10 minutes because it felt like a dream. I had won $768.4M. You can check my winning testimony with the lottery officials just with my name search. Thank you Dr Odunga. Well, his email is odungaspelltemple@gmail.com and you can also call or Whats-app him at +2348167159012 so you guys can contact him
